Victoria describes the motivation behind her interest in art “I enjoy adding intrigue to my art, subconsciously conveying a message to the viewer using Carl Jung’s Representational Theory of Symbolism. Jung’s theory is used in dream analysis during therapy, however I have found a way of using that symbolism to convey a unconscious message to the viewer, this becomes recognisable once the painting symbols are explained.

Victoria Velozo is an Australian artist who paints mostly in oils. Victoria paints in two modus operandi;Contemporary figurative oil paintings, portraying theatrical aspects of women with underlying representational messages from Jung’s Psychological Dream Theory using 16th Century Baroque influence
Victoria has experience in the arts in a variety of mediums and has been trained by some of Australia’s influential artists; however Victoria classes herself as an emerging artist as she has been educating herself in the masters techniques with influences by Titian & Ruben’s.
